Redland Park URC is hosting a Songs of Praise for all United Reformed Churches in the Bristol District, from 3.00pm to 5.30pm. Each church will be asked for their chosen hymn, and the reasons for the choice, and we shall sing it! Tea, coffee and cakes will follow. CLIMATE CRISIS EVENT - OUR FUTURE NEEDS YOU Please join us on Monday 24th October 2022 6-8pm at Redland Park United Reformed Church, Whiteladies Road, Redland, BS6 6SA Doors open at 5.30pm. The Church in Society Group are organising a book sale for church charities on Saturday 24 September from 11.00-1.00pm. Please come along and have a browse; please donate books if you are decluttering! AND in the afternoon the Climate Justice Group are leading a Litter Pick around the church; details here: You are warmly invited to join Redland Park Church and the local community in the BIG GREEN WEEK LITTER PICK Saturday 24 Sept. 2022 2pm-4pm Around Whiteladies Road, Lower Redland Road, Burlington Rd, Exeter Buildings, Elgin Park RP URC, Redland Park Meet at RP URC garden at 2pm Litter bags and pickers will be providede for our environment Help us care for our environment. There is to be a Vigil for Ukraine on Thursday 7 July 2022 in the church from 11.30am to 6.30pm. Please come along and help us to pray for peace, not just to send arms to the Ukrainians, but talks and negotiations to finally end the war.
On Sunday 17 July, the Junior Church is inviting everyone at Redland Park to have a picnic lunch on the Downs after the morning service. This is usually followed by games . . .
On Sunday 24 July, there will be a Garden Party organised by the Church in Society group immediately after morning service, in the beautiful garden of Jane and Richard Pedlar. Please bring a dish of salad or other food. Lifts available. Please contact Carol Fry if you would like a lift. Redland Park URC recognises the climate emergency and is committed to making a co-ordinated effort to respond, based on our calling to love our neighbours, live justly and steward God’s creation. The reasons why we are convinced that this is important are set out below:
We have two celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee;
Sunday 5 June - We will be dedicating our Tree for the Jubilee after the service, followed by tea, coffee and cakes. Please come and enjoy. We're happy to announce that £555 was raised during Christian Aid Week from our Fair on Saturday 8 May, and from donations made through the envelope scheme. Many thanks to everyone who helped at the Fair, many who delivered up to 1000 envelopes, and to those who donated time and money.
Come and have breakfast from 9.30am on Sunday 8 May 2022 in aid of Christian Aid. There will be cereals, croissants, toast and marmalade, tea, coffee, people to chat with and a worthy charity to support.
