CHRISTIAN AID

Christian Aid Week is fast approaching and this year will be from 12 to 18 May.  We are holding a Big Brekkie on Sunday 12 May from 9.15am, leading  on to our morning service at 10.30am.  All welcome.

We are also holding our annual Fair in aid of Christian Aid, with stalls selling plants, books, CDs, DVDs, children's clothes and toys and bric a brac, serving English and Korean food, tea, coffee and cake!  What's not to like?  Please come along and enjoy a local children's choir.  10.30am onwards.

There is also the house-to-house collection in surrounding streets, raising money from donations in envelopes or texted through.

Christian Aid is helping people around the world to help themselves out of poverty - helping pregnant women in Sierra Leone give birth safely, people rising up against climate change in the Philippines, Kenya, Ethiopia,  helping farmers in Bangladesh learn how to become tea planters, battling malaria in Nigeria, hunger in Sudan, and emergency food aid to those hit the hardest by extreme weather disasters.
